For all who know me personally, know that I am a work-a-holic. No sleep & no days off.  Well, guess what? It’s time for that to change! In a few weeks I’m out of here.. No computer… Dare I say it - no blackberry.  Dun Dun Dun.. Will I Survive? Time will tell. Personally, I can’t wait! I’ll be gone for a week suckeeerrrrssssssss!

So the new Thursday Night residency is going pretty well.. This week I welcome an old friend & one of the dudes I used to buy records off back in the day - DJ Big Jacks!

Here are a few of the events we’ve had over the last month at Van Gogh’s on a Thursday… Much love to everyone who has come through!

October 16th. Yup Yup.

So on Monday afternoon my homeboy Bobby Redef me up and we headed down to Livestock (edit: we stopped by Craft Burger first - aka one of the best Burger’s in Toronto.. Get familiar like Clinton Sparks and goto King & Portland and order a combo with onion rings) where N.E.R.D. were scheduled to make an in-store appearance before their concert/performance alongside Common later that night.  Much love to the Livestock crew for bypassing us past a 2 hour lineup that wrapped around the building! After chilling inside for almost another two hours with the peoples Mensa, PhotoWill, Jose, Universal, etc. we finally got to build with the N.E.R.D.’s themselves.

Pharrell Williams, Shae, Fam-Lay & their management were suprisingly down to earth and receptive to the idea and concept of the the Bridging The Gap Mixtape series.  After hustling some drops & building the relationship, Pharrell let me know he had some new artists to break.. So now it’s officially official! Yezzur.

So this past Friday Night, I opened the Red & Meth show in Toronto @ The Koolhaus.  All in all, it was a pretty crazy show.. Apart from the all ages crowd not knowing half the tunes they should have, it was still a dope vibe.  Shouts out to Lancelot & RG for holding me down, DJ Dice (Redman’s DJ), as well as my peoples Tona, Era & Famous who all did their thing opening up.. Honorary mention to 40 aka Noah showing up randomly asking me to use headphones to DJ someone’s set last minute haha.. Classic.  By that point in time the “WU-TANG, WU-TANG” chants were heavy and bottles were flying, so he said screw it and left!
