2009 STYLUS DJ AWARDS PRESS RELEASE

The Stylus Group – Canadian based organization created to support, develop, recognize and award the Canadian DJ Industry has announced their nominee listing for the 2009 Stylus DJ Awards, presented by Marc Ecko Watches - www.marceckotime.ca

The Stylus DJ Awards are a unique facet to the DJ and Urban culture in Canada. As the only institution recognizing the breadth of DJ talent in Canada; Stylus are able to bring a forum that allows DJs and Canadian Artists to display and perform their talent to the Canadian Music industry and public on a heightened scale. The Stylus events throughout SpinFest and the Stylus DJ Awards harbour performances, a music conference, concerts and local events, all allowing Canadian Artists to flourish and be recognized.

A record setting 10, 018 DJ fans from across Canada and around the globe, cast their votes online at www.stylusgroup.ca to nominate their favourite DJs. A board of directors comprised of industry tastemakers will determine the 2009 winners.
The 2009 Stylus DJ Awards will honour the achievements and progress made by Canadian DJs in their respective categories.

DJs gathering multiple nominations this year are; Wristpect (Toronto), Jester (Toronto) with five nominations each, P Plus (Toronto) with three nominations and Payce (Montreal), D@x (Montreal), DJ Pump (Calgary), Kwite Sane (Montreal), DJ
Law (Toronto), Baba Kahn (Toronto), Ill Kidz (Toronto), J-Swing (Vancouver), Miss M (Winnipeg) and Spex (Toronto), all with two nominations each. Now in its fourth year – the Stylus Group brings stellar competition forward with the introduction of three new Categories; West Coast DJ of the Year, Central DJ of the Year and East Coast DJ of the Year. These three categories allow for DJs from
