When DJ P-Plus decided to participate in the rebuilding efforts for Haiti, he set out to create an event to raise funds that was like no other. With gaming and music serving as two of his greatest passions, he wanted to find a way to merge the two things he loves most to raise capital towards the Haitian earthquake relief.

Similar to the format of the inaugural PLUGGED IN WITH P-PLUS event –where all proceeds raised from a silent auction were donated to Lupus Canada –funds raised from the gaming tournament will directly benefit those in Haiti and assist P-Plus on his humanitarian mission, as he heads to Haiti in May 2010.

On Thursday. April 29th, 2010, DJ P-Plus will present the second event in a series he calls, PLUGGED IN WITH P-PLUS. This gaming tournament will gather video game enthusiasts together for a one-day tournament taking place at one of Toronto’s hidden event spaces, Studio 99 (http://www.theoasi.com). The tournament will feature the hottest video game in the sporting genre, NBA2K10 where the ultimate winner will walk away with a grand prize and the fulfillment in knowing that they’ve contributed towards a worthy global endeavor. There will be a $50 entry fee for the tournament that will guarantee two games for each player over the age of 18.

The event will be hosted by on-air personalities Devo Brown and Jeni from the New FLOW 93.5 and T-Rexx from the Toronto initiative, 1 Love T.O. and The Remix Project –an arts, culture and life skills incubator serving young people across the GTA. Many of P-Plus’ celebrity friends will attend the event and noteworthy DJ’s Starting from Scratch, Agile, Deuce, Spoonz, Lissa Monet and many more will provide entertainment throughout the tournament. With the support of New FLOW 93.5 FM and Proven Growth Media, the event aims to inspire and bring hope to those suffering from this natural disaster.
