Hey world! I realize I’m two weeks late on this post but… better late than never! Things have been really hectic (in a good way though) and I apologize for not having updated the site/blog in a few weeks.. 2011 was another great year and I just wanted to thank you all for your continued support. Some highlights included winning Fan Choice & Toronto DJ of the Year, touring North America with Blackberry, playing shows across Canada, USA, Europe, Asia, and working alongside a lot of great people! Thank you to my team at The 194 Group and all of the DJs, musicians, artists, and producers who continue to inspire me daily.. Look out for lots of things in the works for 2012, including a new website, mixtapes, tour dates, and finally some of my own production.. Stay tuned!!

On Friday, Oct 28th 2011, myself and Sir Lancelot played ‘Monster Mash’ at The Guvernment!  This was the biggest Halloween party in the city of Toronto with over 5000+ people.. Thank you to everyone who came out! Big shouts to my 194 family who were also on the night: Sir Lancelot, JB Allen (drums), Sy Sylver (Guitarist), DJ LRS and Mike Jacinto.. Everyone tore it up!!

Immediately after playing Kaulfeuten in Zurich, it was back to the airport to head to London England. After checking into my hotel (located in the Bloomsbury district), I was able to find an authentic barbershop and spend some time roaming the area. The following two nights (Thurs/Fri) I was playing at two of London’s best clubs – Chinawhite on Thursday night and the Playboy Club on Friday Night. It was great to finally connect with my people DJ Sam Young and DJ Smoov, and catch up in person over some delicious Nando’s Chicken. Chinawhite on Thursday was an amazing night.. Management had said the club was slower than usual because of the riots going on at the time, but it did not effect the vibe of the night at all. Great crowd and great atmosphere.. The floor was packed until the very end of the night and I had a great time playing a mix of house, hip hop, and classics! Thank you to James & Sam at Chinawhite for having me and I look forward to being back soon.. The next night was the final night of my 10 day European tour inside London’s brand new Playboy Club. Having played The Playboy Mansion a few years ago, I was curious as to how this would measure up. The Playboy Club is an ultra-exclusive members nightclub, lounge, and casino in one located in the posh Mayfair district of the city. Again, the night was slower than usual because of the aforementioned riots going on at the time, but it did not stop people from dancing, letting loose, and having fun!

In August 2011 I completed my second European Tour with stops in Belgium, Norway, Amsterdam, Zurich, and London.

This is the live 3 hour and 30 minute recording from the world famous CLUB JUICY party in Oslo, Norway – brought to you by Patski Love & Chris Stallion.

My man Patski Love was rocking the mic for me, but the audio didn’t capture it as he was plugged into another mixer.. This is a raw set, where I played whatever I wanted to..

Halfway through the night, shit got wild and someone spilled their beer all over the turntables and mixer – you’ll hear the music completely cut out for a bit. After that, I was pretty much on one turntable but we made it work.

This was a really fun and refreshing night to play and I must say that the people of Oslo know their music and know how to party and have a great time.. The vibe in there was amazing.

Thank you again to Patski & Chris and the entire JUICY crew. You guys have truly built an amazing night with a great crowd who enjoys and appreciates MUSIC of all genres.

I cannot wait to be back.

The Europe Tour 2011 continued throughout Oslo, Norway and Zurich, Switzerland.. I didn’t have any idea of what to expect from either city as I had never been to any of them before, so as always I arrived with an open mind! The party I was played in Oslo, Norway was the world famous Juicy Party. When I say world famous, I mean it literally.. Other guests that have played this night include Jus Ske, DJ AM, DJ Scratch, Egyptian Lover, Ryan Leslie, Too $hort, Diamond D, DJ Premier, Kid Capri, Biz Markie, Diplo, Nick Catchdubs, Steve Aoki, The Bloody Beedroots, Sammy Bananas, Benzi, Jayceooh, Mick Boogie, Skratch Bastid, Green Lantern, Questlove, Stretch Armstrong, Ross One, Neil Armstrong, The Cool Kids, Camp Lo, Three Six Mafia, and the list goes on..!!  Huge shouts to Patski Love and Chris Stallion at Juicy for bringing me down – it was an honour to rock with you guys and this night is still one of the most fun times I’ve ever had dj’ing in my 7 years of doing this! You can listen to my set from the night via my my podcast, or on soundcloud! Interesting fact about Oslo.. The starting meter on a taxi there is $20 USD.. Yes, just to get in it. Regardless, I still love that city and look forward to being back there soon! Next up was Zurich, Switzerland.. Another beautiful place. The extended family DJ Cruz picked me up from the airport and showed us around the city. Later that night, I rocked at the legendary Kaufleuten! The club is a 20 year old theatre that has been the number one venue in Zurich for two decades – pretty impressive. The vibe and party was great and I’m looking forward to being back there as well! Unfortunately, just like Oslo, I was only in Switzerland for the night.. The next morning, it was off to London, England!

This past September, 2011 Toronto celebrated the 5th anniversary of THE MANIFESTO. This is one of the most beautiful festivals to take place in the city; a true gathering of art, music, film, food, and culture.

This footage is from the ‘Live At The Square’ event on Sunday, Sept 25 at Dundas Square which I DJ’d.

Performers included 9th Wonder & Phonte, Zaki Ibrahim, Raekwon & JD Era, Rich Kidd, Kid Capri and Rakim, Freedom Writers, and many more..

On Friday Oct 28, I will be playing The Guvernment Complex for a huge special event ‘Monster Mash‘ – this will be the biggest Halloween event in the city on Friday night! After Belgium and Norway, I made my way to Amsterdam.. It was my first time there and it is a beautiful city! Having just played in Belgium and Norway back to back, I took Sunday off to enjoy the city and be a tourist with my good friend DJ Fullscale, who showed me around. On Monday night, I played the famous ‘Party On A Monday‘ at the world renown Supperclub.. The vibe was insane! There was a such a great crowd in there (from ladies in heels and dresses to women in sweatpants and jordans) and all they wanted to hear was r&b and soul music all night! Seriously, they were singing every word.. I was shocked, but it was a very pleasant surprise and not what I was expecting at all.. Another thing I was not expecting was there to be no turntables, in ALL of Amsterdam! Literally no clubs in the city have turntables anymore and every single DJ is forced to play on CDJs and nobody uses Serato either.. Thank you to Fullscale and the tech at the venue for going out of their way to make sure I had turntables, serato, and everything else I needed to play my set!

The first stop of August’s 10-day European Tour was Brussels, Belgium. This was my 2nd time in Belgium (the last time I was there was in November 2010) and it was just as I had remembered it: laid back, beautiful, good people, amazing architecture, good food, and a good time. Big shouts out to my man DJ Psar and the entire MP Fam for all of the hospitality! I played 2 great nights in Brussels and Inglemunster Belgium before flying to Norway on Saturday morning..
