On Friday, April 13 we lost a fellow teammate at The 194 Group. Our guitarist, the legendary Sy Sylver, passed on and left us for a better place.. Sy was a unique individual.. Not only was he an incredible talent, but more importantly he was a wonderful human being. A rockstar in his own right, Sy connected with audiences of all backgrounds and musical spectrums from around the world. His passion and love for music shined through his electrifying and energetic performances. Sy’s gift was unique and he was an originator in the field of Electronic Dance Music, adding an element that people had never witnessed before. His gift found him performing across the globe, from Dubai to Ibiza, sharing the stage with the likes of Tiesto, DJ AM, Kaskade, and Paul Oakenfold. In an industry full of fake personalities and inflated egos, Sy Sylver was one of the most genuine, laid back, and humble people I have ever met.. Simon Benlolo aka Sy Sylver, you were a pleasure to work alongside and you will be missed dearly my friend..

On Friday, Oct 28th 2011, myself and Sir Lancelot played ‘Monster Mash’ at The Guvernment!  This was the biggest Halloween party in the city of Toronto with over 5000+ people.. Thank you to everyone who came out! Big shouts to my 194 family who were also on the night: Sir Lancelot, JB Allen (drums), Sy Sylver (Guitarist), DJ LRS and Mike Jacinto.. Everyone tore it up!!

This past September, 2011 Toronto celebrated the 5th anniversary of THE MANIFESTO. This is one of the most beautiful festivals to take place in the city; a true gathering of art, music, film, food, and culture.

This footage is from the ‘Live At The Square’ event on Sunday, Sept 25 at Dundas Square which I DJ’d.

Performers included 9th Wonder & Phonte, Zaki Ibrahim, Raekwon & JD Era, Rich Kidd, Kid Capri and Rakim, Freedom Writers, and many more..

TEDxToronto is the largest TEDx conference for Toronto, Canada.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, it brings together the city’s foremost thought leaders, change makers and everyday people from each discipline and challenges them to deliver powerful, unforgettable and unique TEDxTalks.

The theme of the second annual conference was A Call to Action. A total of 300 spots were reserved for audience members, while thousands more across the country joined via satellite locations and live video stream.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. This year’s Halloween Weekend was pretty crazy.. On Friday Oct 30 we were at Toronto’s biggest Halloween costume party inside Liberty Grand with over 5000 people in attendance.. The next day (Saturday, October 30) we flew to PEI for the first time (Eastern Canada) to play The Wave at University of PEI, along with our drummer – JB Allen. This party was a smash… Thus brings us to Halloween night, Sunday Oct 31. We took an evening flight back to Toronto which got me back just in time to play a set at TIME Nightclub, alongside my dude DJ Tilt. Another Halloween weekend, another series of good parties..
