Haydain made great contributions to our R&B/Soul scene and he will not be soon forgotten. R.I.P. Send a message of condolence or share your memories of Haydain Neale – haydainnealefamily@gmail.com
Man.. I don’t even know what to say right now.. I guess this is just another reminder from above, that life is very, very short. There is no need to hold grudges against each other, or hate on one another, like so many people do – day in, and day out. There is no point. We are all here for a reason.. Adam Goldstein aka DJ AM inspired & motivated me, and most likely thousands of other DJs. He was an innovator and a trend setter who pushed boundaries and was one of the first to really break ‘the dj’ into the same limelight as ‘the artist’. All of that aside, he was simply a dope technical & conceptual DJ as well..
While news reports are saying he died of drug-related causes [hard to believe, as he said he never drank anything, and had no alcohol on his rider], I just hope that some of his younger fans take this in stride as a learning lesson.. Drugs are no joke; they will consume your life and are simply not worth it.
Although I did not know him personally, I had the pleasure of playing a party with him only a few months back in February [ see: Opening For DJ AM ] & he was one of the coolest, level-headed, and most humble DJs that I have had the chance to play alongside. Thanks for motivating me.. Rest In Peace.
